Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as needed.
  • Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Obtain all necessary patient records and verify consent prior to treatment or procedures.
  • Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Provide patient education and support, including distributing educational literature and assisting with delegated patient education.
  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, including hormones and biological growth factors.
  • Maintain exam/treatment room disinfection protocols and process instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Answer patient telephone calls and refer to physicians or nurses/pharmacists as needed.
  • Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RNs.
  • Schedule patient tests, procedures, and hospital admissions, and schedule appointments to follow up on test results.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
  • Minimum two years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Current CPR certification required.
Work Environment

The work environment at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is fast-paced and dynamic, with exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $18.29-$25.00, based on education, work experience, certification, and other factors.
