As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Welcoming patients and preparing them for healthcare visits
  • Obtaining medical histories and verifying patient information
  • Documenting vital signs and updating electronic medical records

  • Providing excellent customer service and communication skills

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited healthcare program (e.g. Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT) or equivalent work experience
  • Nationally recognized certifications (e.g. CMA) preferred
  • Strong computer skills and EMR experience

Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics and familiarity with Athenahealth practice management system.
