Position: Senior Associate - Private Equity Fund Accounting

Employment Type: Permanent

IQEQ stands as a leading service provider within the alternative asset sector. We collaborate with managers across various capacities, including hedge fund, private equity fund, and mutual fund launches; private equity fund administration; advisory firm establishment, regulatory registration, and infrastructure design; ongoing regulatory compliance (SEC, CFTC, and 40 Act); financial controls and operational support services; compliance and operational projects and reviews; as well as outsourced CFO/controller and administration services for private equity fund investments encompassing portfolio companies, real estate assets, and energy assets.

Our clientele is expanding, and our current clients are increasingly engaging our firm across the full spectrum of our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support IQEQ client leads on various Private Equity funds across multiple industries.
• Collaborate closely with managers, teams, and support functions to manage client expectations and ensure compliance with timelines on deliverables as defined by the limited partnership agreement.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of limited partnership agreements and apply their terms to financial reporting, as well as income and expense allocations.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries, management fee calculations, interest calculations, loan covenant monitoring, investor allocations, capital account statements, capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, investor notices, borrower interest statements, carried interest calculations, and maintenance of waterfall models.
• Coordinate the distribution of interest statements, capital call notices, and distribution notices to clients, borrowers, and investors.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules.
• Manage the year-end process and address requests from external auditors and tax teams.
• Assist in the onboarding, development, and training of new team members as necessary.
• Evaluate operational effectiveness and propose suggestions for process enhancements.
• Ensure timely responses to ad hoc requests from clients and investors.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Over 3 years of experience in Private Equity or a related field.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Ability to produce a high volume of work with accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Competence in managing multiple demands and competing deadlines.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Investran is preferred.
