Position Overview

The primary focus of this role is to manage accounting and reporting tasks associated with Welltower's partnerships and operator affiliations.

The Senior Financial Accountant will serve as an integral member of our partnership team, responsible for validating and analyzing our collaborative ventures and third-party operator associations.

This position requires close collaboration with our U.S. partnerships and entails acting as a dependable liaison with external auditors.

The ideal candidate will possess strong coordination skills across various functions to ensure compliance and will have a solid foundation in auditing and financial statement oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the flow of financial data between our business partners/operators and internal/external stakeholders.
• Conducting monthly uploads and reconciliations of operator financial data.
• Implementing monthly internal controls for partnerships and preparing relevant workpapers.
• Aggregating operator data into comprehensive metrics (both financial and non-financial).
• Executing accounting functions for partnerships and generating precise financial reports from accounting information systems.
• Calculating monthly distributions to business partners.
• Supporting tax-related activities, including gathering accurate information for tax preparation and ensuring timely completion.
• Assisting the team with information related to internal and external audits.
• Performing initial reviews of monthly operator financial data and following up with operators regarding any unusual activities or balances.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in public or corporate accounting is preferred.

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Familiarity with accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS, is preferred.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

• Professional certification, such as CPA, is highly desirable.
• Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
