Job Description: Childcare Outreach Specialist

Estimated Salary: $42,500 - $45,000 per year

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Outreach Specialist to join our team at the Center For Family Life in Sunset Park Inc. As a Childcare Outreach Specialist, you will play a critical role in connecting families in Brooklyn with childcare assistance through a grant-funded project.

Your primary responsibilities will include identifying families in need of childcare support, screening them for eligibility using standardized tools, and completing applications. You will also work closely with agency staff and community service providers to enroll childcare providers in the program.

In addition to these tasks, you will build knowledge and expertise of the NYC childcare landscape in Brooklyn to assist families in connecting with childcare as needed. This includes determining the appropriate childcare type and setting to meet the family's eligibility and needs.

Your strong communication and problem-solving skills will be essential in engaging families and childcare providers, resolving any issues that may arise, and maintaining accurate records.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $42,500 - $45,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an Associate's degree or high school diploma with relevant experience, as well as bilingual skills in Spanish, Mandarin, Creole, Arabic, or Russian. Experience in community engagement or direct service is also essential.
