Community Outreach Specialist

The Community Outreach Specialist will provide culturally sensitive registration, intake, roster tracking, and assessment services to migrant and asylum-seeking individuals. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Culturally sensitive registration and intake services
- Bilingual Spanish/English case services
- Referrals to community-based programs and organizations
- Coordination with interpretation and translation services
- Coordination with the NYC Department of Education (DOE) on student registration, school placement, attendance, transportation, and troubleshooting as needed
- Bachelor's degree or relevant social services experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and problem solve
- Strong organizational skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Estimated starting salary range: $24.04 per hour
- Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, and other possible benefits
