Role Summary: The GIS Mapping Analyst is pivotal in utilizing geospatial technology to bolster environmental health and safety, forestry, and related fields. This position necessitates a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of two years in relevant sectors such as Utility Tree Crews, along with an OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile, manipulate, and analyze geospatial datasets.
- Design, develop, and maintain GIS databases and systems.
- Create detailed reports, maps, applications, and visualizations to present analytical findings.
- Utilize scripting languages to enhance GIS data pipelines and workflows.
- Provide GIS training and support to fellow team members.
Work Environment: The office location will be strategically determined to effectively cover the designated geographic service area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, forestry, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least two years of job-related experience (e.g., Utility Tree Crew).
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Travel may be necessary.
Work Environment:
- Standard office setting with appropriate temperature and lighting, and minimal noise levels.
