Position Overview:
SAIC is seeking a Launch Program Budget Analyst with a comprehensive understanding of governmental operations.


This role involves managing budgeting and financial processes to deliver expert guidance and technical assessments for intricate and vital launch systems and procedures.

The chosen candidate will prepare briefings and evaluations for diverse audiences, effectively communicating budgetary data to government officials.

This position supports strategic planning and oversees all phases of launch and launch support activities.

It requires navigating the complexities associated with various launch service providers while ensuring the proper segregation of proprietary information, all within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver program management, budgetary, and financial services and products.
  • Create and maintain a requirements database categorized by appropriation for engineering initiatives.
  • Formulate current appropriation and fiscal year spending plans, including forecasts and execution strategies, while monitoring and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Provide necessary support for planning, programming, budgeting, and financial oversight related to customer needs.
  • Analyze and justify obligation and expenditure data as required.
  • Review all financial data and CFSR for contracted projects.
  • Conduct launch cost modeling, refine and maintain the launch vehicle cost requirements database, and perform studies on launch vehicle "quick reaction" scenarios.
Qualifications:

Essential Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with government clients.
  • At least 2 years of experience in government budgeting or a related field.
  • Ideally, 2+ years of experience in the space launch sector.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Required to hold TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the acquisition lifecycle requirements.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Proficiency in desktop software, including spreadsheet, briefing, and database development tools.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is between $80,001 and $120,000, reflecting the typical salary range based on experience and other relevant factors.

Covid Policy:
SAIC does not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; however, customer site vaccination requirements must be adhered to when work is conducted at a customer location.
