Overview
Senior Launch Integration Specialist
SAIC is in search of a seasoned Senior Launch Integration Specialist to assist the US Space Force in the integration and execution of National Security Space missions into orbit. This role is integral to the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDA&CP) Directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver essential mission integration services to government mission managers overseeing the launch mission integration process.
- Engage in all phases of launch activities, from initial planning discussions to launch operations and the actual launch day.
- Direct the efforts of all mission working groups, encompassing mission integration, ground operations, flight operations, trailblazer planning/execution, and launch day activities.
- Provide technical support for mission program evaluations, integrated schedule development and management, rehearsal assistance, and daily status updates.
- Formulate launch mission planning tasks and generate critical program documentation.
- Lead and supervise a team of launch integration specialists.
- Oversee the formulation of all satellite to launch vehicle interface specifications.
- Assess and provide technical evaluations of key mission documentation, including Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and launch base requirements and procedures.
- Draft contractor statements of work (SOWs) and conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
- Develop, prepare, and present documentation while coordinating execution for significant Launch Readiness Reviews.
- Monitor all requirements verification documentation throughout the launch campaign.
- Create and review technical assessments and presentations for senior leadership evaluations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree with 14 years of relevant experience, or an additional 4 years of education in lieu of a degree, or 12 years of experience with a Master's degree.
- Possession of an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo a Polygraph examination.
- A minimum of 9 years of pertinent space launch experience.
- Proven ability to cultivate effective working relationships with various government agencies and mission partners.
- Demonstrated capability to collaborate across multiple organizations and disciplines to deliver integrated solutions and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of satellite Systems Engineering, Design, Integration, and Testing.
- Expertise in the mission integration process, including experience with launch vehicle to space vehicle interfaces, mechanical and electrical systems, mission analysis, launch and space vehicle environments, ground operations, and launch readiness verification.
Compensation range: $160,001 - $200,000, reflecting the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
