ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Space Systems Integrator to support a critical contract with the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SCC) Assured Access to Space (AATS) National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program.

The selected candidate will provide expert-level support in systems engineering and integration, acquisition and program management, mission integration management, system safety and environmental engineering, systems security and information assurance, launch schedule and risk management, and certification of new entrant launch vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and mentor government mission integration managers in manifesting payloads, executing mission integration, and monitoring payload development.
  • Interface with launch vehicle contractors, auxiliary payload customers, and other program stakeholders to ensure launch systems, hardware, software, tests, and analyses meet standard interface specifications and system performance requirements.
  • Support requirement development and verification activities, including mission requirements, interface requirements, launch services requirements, and launch vehicle hardware/analyses/CONOPS requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver mission readiness briefings at readiness reviews, including the Mission Readiness Review (MRR), Flight Readiness Review (FRR), and Launch Readiness Review (LRR).
  • Provide support in developing engineering change proposals, statements of work, contract modifications, technical evaluations of proposals, and launch operations planning and execution.
  • Other responsibilities include program plan development and maintenance, launch vehicle mission trade studies, mission analysis, console operations, real-time launch vehicle data monitoring and analysis, mission unique requirements development, and launch vehicle hardware pedigree reviews.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related STEM field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering, including at least two years of launch vehicle or space vehicle integration or launch/range experience with an emphasis on spacecraft or launch vehicle processing.
  • Experience with the USSF Engineering Launch Support System architecture and components, launch systems, and launch support centers at various launch bases.
  • Travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft tools, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and information technology systems and SharePoint-type databases.
  • Experience working with senior-level Space Force leadership in a program office environment.
  • Master's degree in systems engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with and competency using Jira, Confluence, and Mattermost.
  • Ability to resolve quality issues effectively.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance to start and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasional movement about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Frequently communicates with coworkers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
