Position Overview: STV is seeking two qualified Rail Vehicle Quality Assurance Specialists to join our team. This role involves working at various manufacturing facilities to oversee and evaluate Rail Car Systems and quality assurance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of Rail Vehicle assembly processes.
  • Ensure compliance with calibration and control processes for jigs, fixtures, and production line equipment.
  • Evaluate welding procedures in accordance with AWS standards.
  • Support and witness Rail Vehicle testing programs.
  • Perform electrical systems testing, including megger, High Potential (Hi Pot), and continuity tests.
  • Review subsystems such as prime movers, HEP, HVAC, trucks, and communications.
  • Implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols specific to the Rail Vehicle sector.
  • Facilitate First Article Inspections (FAI) and source inspection activities.
  • Conduct supplier audits and surveillance, preparing detailed reports for management.
  • Generate weekly status updates for program oversight.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Rail Vehicle manufacturing or overhaul.
  • Technical education or equivalent experience in inspection roles.
  • Proficient in Rail Vehicle Systems and quality control methodologies.
