Job Summary
As a Business Development Manager at Linde North America, Inc., you will play a key role in driving territory profitability and revenue growth through a deep understanding of the industrial gases market. You will leverage company resources and processes to differentiate Linde by adding value through our unique product offerings. Key Responsibilities:

• Increase territory profitability and revenue through a thorough understanding of the market and customer needs

• Develop and maintain an overall territory business strategy to proactively plan and measure success

• Manage an existing portfolio of clients and related agreements

• Develop new customer relationships and negotiate new agreements

• Manage price and cost recovery across the business

• Prospect from multiple sources to develop new business

• Engage industry experts to identify and create value-added solutions

• Use SalesForce.com to document relevant sales and customer activity

• Maintain up-to-date opportunity roadmaps and account action plans

• Demonstrate a high level of critical and innovative thinking, questioning skills to uncover issues and create value for customers

• Respond promptly to customer issues and take immediate action to resolve them

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, sales, marketing, finance, or business

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business-to-business industrial sales, gases, or specialty chemicals

• Ability to travel 30-40%

• Strong business and financial acumen, proficient presentation skills, and sound planning/organizing skills

• Self-starter with a proven sales track record, applying deep customer insight, knowledge of the competitive landscape, and negotiation skills

• PC skills, including SalesForce.com or CRM equivalent, Microsoft Office with Excel and PowerPoint
