Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to join our New England team. This role will lead and support the preparation of federal National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) documentation for a diverse set of DOT/transportation clients.
Responsibilities- Oversee technical reviews associated with natural, human, and cultural resource analyses related to NEPA/MEPA
- Coordinate with clients and manage environmental projects, including technical subconsultants
- Drive business development activities, including preparing scopes of work, fee estimates, and schedules
- Review environmental studies and work prepared by others
- Prepare environmental documentation and presentations
- Manage environmental scopes and budgets among a diverse range of technical resource groups
- Oversee the facilitation of stakeholder meetings, public workshops, and public hearings
- A passion for coaching and/or mentoring skills is required
- Ability to travel occasionally
- B.S./B.A. in environmental planning, urban planning, environmental science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of NEPA and MEPA as it relates to Transportation/DOT projects
- 8-11 years of experience; 12+ years of experience preferred, in environmental consulting or a related field
- Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), LEED, and/or WELL certification a plus
