The anticipated salary range for the Lead Clean Energy Policy Analyst position is $104,400 - $116,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.


The expected salary range for a Principal Analyst is $123,300 - $137,000, also varying based on experience, with a similar comprehensive benefits package.


Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION


The Lead Clean Energy Policy Analyst will be tasked with monitoring, evaluating, and modeling developments in environmental and clean energy policies that impact power markets and related sectors.

Analyzing regulatory proposals from the EPA and emerging voluntary and compliance markets for environmental attributes and emissions allowances will be a key focus area.


This role will involve creating forecasts and market projections to support Constellation's policy and sustainability initiatives, as well as day-to-day commercial operations.


Collaboration with various teams across the organization, including Market Fundamentals, Structuring, Corporate and Commercial Strategy, Portfolio Management, Origination and Trading, Risk, Retail, and Constellation's internal venture capital group, will be essential.

The ability to convey complex issues clearly to diverse internal and external stakeholders will be crucial.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES


Monitor, evaluate, and model the effects of current and proposed regulatory and legislative measures using a variety of analytical methodologies.

Enhance Constellation's internal analytical capabilities.

Communicate the implications of regulatory, legislative, and public policy initiatives.

Support outreach efforts to garner support for Constellation's positions on matters of significant strategic or commercial importance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Senior Analyst

Undergraduate degree in data science/analytics, physics, mathematics, engineering, economics, political science, public policy, or a related field.

5 years of professional experience in energy or financial markets, environmental policy analysis, economic forecasting, or similar fields.

Familiarity with production cost modeling and broader concepts in linear optimization.

Ability to manage, synthesize, and identify trends in large datasets, with proficiency in basic statistical analysis.

Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Experience with Python and/or R.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Comfort in working with abstract concepts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Principal Analyst

Undergraduate degree in data science/analytics, physics, mathematics, engineering, economics, political science, public policy, or a related field.

8 years of professional experience in energy or financial markets, environmental policy analysis, economic forecasting, or similar fields.

Familiarity with production cost modeling and broader concepts in linear optimization.

Ability to manage, synthesize, and identify trends in large datasets, with proficiency in basic statistical analysis.

Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Experience with Python and/or R.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Comfort in working with abstract concepts.

Qualifications:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with production cost models such as PLEXOS, Aurora, PROMOD, the Integrated Planning Model (IPM), or similar.

Knowledge of commodities trading concepts.

Advanced degree in data science/analytics, physics, mathematics, engineering, economics, political science, public policy, or a related field.
