Job Title: Regional Field Service Controls Engineer

Dematic Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Regional Field Service Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for providing expert service and repair support for our installed Dematic systems and equipment.

Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, you will work closely with customers to ensure that our systems are running at optimal levels, providing exceptional customer service and support. Your primary objective will be to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for customer use and to ensure that customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment.

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to travel extensively, often on short notice, and be available to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert service and repair support for Dematic systems and equipment
  • Conduct semi-complex equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs, and overhauls
  • Train customers on semi-complex products and services
  • Perform semi-complex maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc.
  • Respond to semi-complex service calls
  • Assess semi-complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommend modifications or improvements
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in a related field providing customer service support
  • Experience with troubleshooting Programable Logistic Controllers (PLC)
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Logix PLC controls platforms
  • Experience with controls hardware troubleshooting
  • Siemens and Modicon PLC experience a plus
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Strong customer service mentality
  • Strong verbal communication skills over the phone
  • Ability to work independently
