Job Summary

MBS Pro Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Controls Engineer to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity that requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the installation and startup of machines at customer sites, ensuring all working components are maintained to meet customer needs.
  • Travel to customer locations to oversee the installation of our machines and perform startup procedures.
  • Perform field troubleshooting on warranty and repair orders, utilizing electrical fault analysis and PLC diagnostics.
  • Review jobs in progress to identify potential field service issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support customers and other technicians with electrical and program troubleshooting via phone and remote connections.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to conduct machine runoffs and pre-ship program checks.
  • Work with various software systems and provide training to employees and customers on machine operation.
  • Prepare service reports on field jobs and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A two-year college degree or trade school certificate in electrical engineering, or 2-3 years of technical experience in manufacturing automation, material handling, and/or machine control.
  • Strong product component level knowledge and program troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
  • College-level mathematics skills and ability to identify work process problems and propose solutions.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted, occasional travel, and exposure to temperature variance, loud noise, and various fumes or smells.
