Nursing Administrator Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Nursing Administrator to lead our nursing team in Medford, Massachusetts.

Job Summary

The Nursing Administrator will provide administrative direction and leadership to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient department operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate nursing department activities, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure resource availability for patient care needs.
  • Develop and implement patient care policies and nursing standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development and education.
  • Participate in nursing committees and task forces, contributing to institutional and community initiatives.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing, BSN and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Current licensure in Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Five years of clinical nursing experience and current nurse administrator experience required.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to provide direction and information to hospital management and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality patient care and department operations.
