ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a vibrant and positive energy level throughout the shift.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills to greet guests, respond to inquiries, and address concerns warmly and professionally.
- Deliver food and beverage service to multiple guests efficiently and professionally.
- Possess thorough knowledge of beverage offerings and daily specials.
- Accurately take orders while maximizing sales through effective selling techniques and product knowledge.
- Prepare top-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and efficiently, adhering to company drink recipes and using appropriate glassware and garnishes.
- Demonstrate dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy behavior consistently.
- Provide outstanding guest service consistently.
- Ensure accurate execution of the POS system.
- Prepare fruits for drink garnishing by peeling, slicing, and pitting.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing bar area to support efficient drink preparation and promote beverage offerings.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures and guidelines.
- Comply with all applicable laws and company policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, including regulations on over-service and serving minors.
- Complete assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organization.
- Set up and break down the bar before and after operating hours.
- Familiarity with Teamwork and Toast POS systems.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to interact effectively with guests and coworkers.
- Proficient verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage stressful situations in a busy, crowded environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, guest relations, and service standards.
- Solid understanding of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Knowledge of various types of alcohol, glassware, brand names, and garnishes.
- Familiarity with bar equipment.
- Understanding of proper food handling requirements.
- Knowledge of bar and kitchen items.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Awareness of daily maintenance and cleaning of the venue.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment.
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Licenses or Certificates:
- Food Handlers Card.
- ABC Service Certification.
- CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
All employees are required to wear the appropriate uniform and maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company grooming standards. This policy is implemented to accommodate religious beliefs, medical conditions, and disabilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to work in an environment with elevated temperatures.
- Ability to move quickly and safely in a tight-space environment without disrupting others.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
Preference will be given to applicants with additional language skills.
Compensation: $16.85/hour plus tips
