Job Summary

South Central Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Employee Health Nurse to join our team. As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of healthcare services to our community and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Notify employees and directors of employee requirements and follow-up items.
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee health records.
  • Prepare new hire employee health requirements and orientation.
  • Evaluate hospital personnel health records with annual health evaluations.
  • Initiate and follow up on employee exposures.
  • Track and trend TB conversions.
  • Assist with fit-testing for designated areas.
  • Assist with data reporting for performance improvement and employee exposure reporting.
  • Perform urine drug screening on employees as required.
  • Travel offsite for influenza vaccination administration.
Professional Responsibilities
  • Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policy.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Serve as a positive role model for new staff.
  • Keep access to protected health information secure and confidential.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive work environment.
Essential Skill Competencies
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic email and phone skills.
  • Basic healthcare knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Works well independently and in groups.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Technical degree in nursing with a current LPN license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing or similar professional degree and licensure or certification.
  • BLS training.
  • Tuberculosis skin testing certification.
  • Urine drug screen training.
