About the Role:
Global Partners LP is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring a high level of customer service and store appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in managing the store's daily operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop cashier/sales associate staff.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation, and ensure a quality buying experience for all customers.
- Control inventory variations, cash over/short, and implement all Company promotional initiatives.
- Operate and manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, and maintain a compliance binder.
- Report and review all environment, maintenance issues, and unusual occurrences to the proper authority and management personnel.
- Price book maintenance, operation of security cameras, and On The Run (where applicable).
- Ability to communicate with associates and guests, and count, read, and write accurately to complete required paperwork.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions, and perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work unsupervised, and flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and/or evening shifts.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting of 1 to 15 lbs, and ability to lift up to 50lbs on occasion.
