Job Summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is a leading provider of security services to government and private sector clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Guard to join our team at NAS Fallon Centroid and Fleet Tactical Training Range facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide access control and facility security services to ensure the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and sensitive information.
  • Monitor radio communications and maintain range access records.
  • Verify visitor access and maintain visitor control logs.
  • Conduct regular perimeter and building checks to identify potential security threats.
  • Control building access and perform physical security checks to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Restrict access to facilities to authorized personnel and maintain current access rosters.
  • Monitor passive surveillance and alarm systems to detect potential security breaches.
  • Develop and maintain emergency incident and response procedures to ensure a swift and effective response to security incidents.
  • Responsible for accident/incident reporting and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years' experience in military or industrial security.
  • Six (6) months experience in administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work that involved written procedures, rules or regulations, and responding to inquiries.
  • Ability to comprehend and implement instructions concerning the operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary.
  • Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
