We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Loan Origination to join our team at Triad Financial Services, Inc. Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: As a senior director, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of underwriters, processors, and loan originators. This includes taking a key role in the hiring process, coaching, and training of staff to ensure that they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Underwriting: You will oversee the underwriting process, which involves assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and the value of the collateral (in this case, chattel). This may include reviewing credit reports, income documentation, and other financial information to make informed lending decisions.
- Loan Processing: Managing the loan processing department involves ensuring that all required documentation is collected, verifying the accuracy of information, and coordinating with other departments to move loans through the approval and funding process smoothly.
- Compliance: Ensuring that all loans adhere to federal and state regulations, as well as internal Triad lending policies, is critical. You will need to stay up-to-date with changing regulations and ensure that your teams follow compliance procedures rigorously.
- Risk Management: You will identify and mitigate risks associated with lending. This includes assessing the risk of default and taking measures to minimize losses.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring the effectiveness of the underwriting and processing departments by setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking metrics such as loan approval rates, turnaround times, and loan quality.
- Process Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. This may involve implementing new technologies or streamlining existing processes.
- Communication: Collaborating with departments within the Triad organization, including sales, customer service, and loan servicing, to ensure a seamless and customer-centric lending experience.
- Reporting: Providing regular reports and updates to senior management and necessary stakeholders regarding the performance of the chattel operations department. This includes financial results, compliance status, and key performance metrics.
- Customer Service: You will be responsible for the oversight of client support in the departments, ensuring that internal and external customers have a positive experience during the lending process and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- 10+ years' experience in financing, with a strong background in manufactured housing.
- 7+ years' experience managing teams, with revenue goal accountability.
- Must hold current National NMLS licensure.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary customer service.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in loan origination, preferably in the manufactured housing industry.
- Strong understanding of loan products, underwriting processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful business strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
