Access Support Specialist

Sign-on Incentives Available:
- $8,000 for non-licensed professionals (tCADC/CADC)
- $10,000 for licensed professionals (1st or 2nd level)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or a related field.
• tCADC/CADC, IADC, LMHC, or LISW certification required.
Job Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to navigate and complete documentation in electronic health records.
• Competence in completing necessary documentation within specified time frames.
• Proven clinical skills in assessments and admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to scheduled work hours and additional hours as needed for assigned responsibilities.
2. Manage all initial contact calls and assess telephonically to determine treatment appropriateness, care level, and specific needs.
3. Schedule and conduct assessment interviews with potential clients and their significant others.
4. Develop initial diagnostic impressions and appropriate recommendations for care placement.
5. Provide case management and counseling services to assigned clients.
6. Employ intervention skills as necessary to ensure clients receive appropriate treatment services.
7. Maintain awareness of community, educational, and recovery resources for appropriate referrals.
8. Facilitate networking, linkage, and follow-up with referral sources.
9. Ensure effective communication with all staff involved in assessments and admissions.
10. Meet with all individuals being admitted to inpatient treatment and facilitate a warm hand-off to the admissions clinician when possible.
11. Ensure that client accounts representatives meet with clients to discuss co-pay and secure down payments when necessary.
12. Confirm that clients have necessary medications and medical records for admission.
13. Conduct pre-certification calls for insurance as needed.
14. Inform relevant staff of client status during the admissions process.
15. Ensure client health records are maintained in accordance with established rules and regulations.
16. Assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled or when necessary.
17. Participate as a member of the Access Team in all team meetings and activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: Based on education, experience, and credentials
- Starting rate for Bachelor's - $21.11/hour
- Starting rate for Master's - $24.44/hour
- Additional $0.50/hour with CADC certification
