TMS Specialist

Position Overview

Under the direct oversight of a licensed physician, the TMS Specialist is responsible for assisting patients undergoing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. This role adheres to established protocols and procedures to ensure effective treatment delivery. The TMS Specialist also collaborates with the TMS Coordinator to manage service scheduling and provides essential education and support regarding treatment inquiries, ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate patient flow within the clinic, ensuring effective communication to coordinate services and optimize the use of TMS equipment.
• Assist patients in receiving TMS therapy under the supervision of a physician, following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records, monitor vital signs, and document any allergies or contraindications as necessary, inputting data into electronic health records (EHR) and TMS software.
• When applicable, perform additional nursing responsibilities in the Medical Outpatient Department alongside other nursing personnel.
• Operate TMS machinery in accordance with training and certification, adhering to prescribed treatment protocols.
• Review and update medical records to ensure compliance with documentation requirements, including release of information authorizations.
• Stay informed about TMS treatment procedures and participate in all required training and certification programs.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Minimum of two years of experience in mental health and medical management.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and electronic medical records data entry.
• Experience in addressing patient medical conditions, including basic life support certification.
• Familiarity with operating medical or mechanical devices.
