Position Type: Temp-At-Will (TAW)

Location: Davenport Community Schools

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Tier 3 mathematics instruction tailored for students as outlined by the Student Intervention Team.
  • Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) discussions, collaborative teacher teams, and parent consultations.
  • Establish and uphold high standards of student behavior to foster a structured and positive learning environment, utilizing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Boys Town Well Managed Classroom strategies.
  • Maintain rigorous academic and behavioral expectations for all learners.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievements and promote parental engagement.
  • Exhibit strong technological competencies.
  • Oversee a system for Tier III interventions through the MTSS data collection framework.
  • Evaluate the academic needs of Tier III students to ensure expected progress levels are met, collaborating with teacher innovators and other educators.
  • Collaborate with a TLCS innovator, special education staff, and classroom teachers to analyze data and design instructional strategies for Tier III students; provide support to collaborative teacher teams.
  • Conduct progress monitoring based on individualized student plans.
  • Participate in BSAT/PBIS and SIT meetings to review school data and assist in the implementation of MTSS and district-approved intervention resources.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with a diverse student population, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
  • Support the district's initiatives and plans aimed at enhancing educational excellence.
  • Exhibit good attendance and punctuality to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of MTSS or willingness to receive training.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PBIS or willingness to receive training.
  • This position is funded on a temporary basis and offers a compensation rate of $28 per hour.
  • Endorsement Required: [142] OR [102]
  • Physical Requirements: Must be capable of pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Desired Qualifications: Value diversity among students and reflect this in teaching and disciplinary methods that emphasize high expectations for student performance.
