Key Responsibilities- Create detailed drawings and specifications for automation systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Review and verify the dimensional accuracy of structural layouts and installations, working closely with manufacturing and vendors to ensure documentation meets specifications.
- Collaborate with the sales team and customers to design and develop automation solutions that meet their specific needs.
- Construct drawings from concepts or sketches, using CAD software and other tools to create accurate and detailed designs.
- Review and critique proposed engineering standards, policies, or details, ensuring they align with company goals and objectives.
- Act as project manager, overseeing the development and implementation of automation systems from concept to completion.
- Equivalent to a two or four-year degree in an engineering curriculum or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, electrical circuits, and math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills with drafting programs, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to accept challenges and strive for continual improvement.
- Must be safety-minded and practice shop safety, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
