We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications for automation systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Review and verify the dimensional accuracy of structural layouts and installations, working closely with manufacturing and vendors to ensure documentation meets specifications.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and customers to design and develop automation solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Construct drawings from concepts or sketches, using CAD software and other tools to create accurate and detailed designs.
  • Review and critique proposed engineering standards, policies, or details, ensuring they align with company goals and objectives.
  • Act as project manager, overseeing the development and implementation of automation systems from concept to completion.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to a two or four-year degree in an engineering curriculum or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, electrical circuits, and math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and skills with drafting programs, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to accept challenges and strive for continual improvement.
  • Must be safety-minded and practice shop safety, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
