About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Specialist is to guarantee the precision of the company's inventory. This position involves reconciling store inventories across various locations. The Inventory Accounting team collaborates closely with auditors, warehouse personnel, and Independent Operators to maintain accurate inventory records. This role reports to the Director of Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconciling retail store inventories across multiple locations.
  • Conducting month-end closing procedures, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and inventory-related reports.
  • Performing account analysis on general ledger details and preparing journal entries based on findings.
  • Processing specific manual inventory transfer transactions within the inventory management system.
  • Generating financial reports and spreadsheets.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.
Compensation Overview:
  • Hourly Wage Range: $24.00-$28.00
  • 401(k) Profit Sharing

  • Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary based on location.
About You:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel and experienced with an ERP system (Oracle, SAP, Multiview).
  • Exhibited analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Professional Attributes/Work Ethic: strong communication skills (both oral and written), detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, innovative, self-motivated, decisive, accountable, and committed to excellence and high standards.
  • Availability to work overtime, including weekends during month-end closing.
