Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
Epic Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team. As an Infusion Therapy Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including chemotherapy treatment and miscellaneous treatments.
- Complete physical assessments of patients in the office and/or by phone triage.
- Utilize electronic medical records for documentation of all direct and indirect patient care.
- Schedule chemotherapy treatments and appointments.
- Monitor patient compliance with therapy and continuity of care.
- Maintain a safe and compliant infusion center environment.
- Act as a patient advocate for psychosocial needs.
- Understand lab and pharmacy operations to provide assistance with on-site processing and infusion mixing.
Qualifications:
- 4-year BSN preferred.
- 2-year ADN required.
- RN CA license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
- ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification required.
- Oncology Certified (OCN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience Requirements:
- 3-year clinical nursing experience required.
- 2-year oncology outpatient infusion center experience preferred.
- 2-year Epic EMR experience preferred.
