Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience.

Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse in our cardiology clinic, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care. Your duties will include assessing patients, obtaining medical history, completing lab and x-ray requests, keeping charts current, and screening calls within physician guidelines. You should possess a caring and professional attitude, have excellent computer skills, and be able to multitask. Experience with Holters, EKGs, and Stress Tests is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Record health history of patient and note abnormal conditions for physician.
  • Instruct patients on collection of any necessary samples and tests.
  • Obtain vital signs and escort patients to rooms.
  • Observe, record, and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
  • Ensure that patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner and forward charts as appropriate.
  • Maintain patient files, records, and other information.
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments.
  • Arrange referrals to a specialist and obtain pre-authorizations when directed to by the provider.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and Phlebotomy.
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
  • Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments.
  • Instruct patient and family regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up instructions.
  • Contact pharmacy to order prescriptions and notify patients.
  • Control inventory and monitor the use of supplies.
  • Maintain up-to-date stock and monitor and maintain medical equipment.
  • Respond to and screen telephone calls for physician. Triaging patients to ensure productive departmental flow.
