Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at Kennesaw State University Libraries. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing program initiatives for the assigned college, department, and/or unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, plans, and coordinates the implementation and execution of programs, special projects, events, and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the assigned program(s) and/or department(s).
  • Oversees and administers all facets and activities related to day-to-day operations of the assigned program(s) and/or departments, serving as a liaison with internal and external clients on all matters relating to program and/or department activities.
  • Provides technical guidance, consultation, and support to clientele within the area of program focus.
  • Assists with forecast projections and budget for each fiscal year and evaluates progress towards financial goals, and may be responsible for the program or department's purchasing card (PCard).
  • Prepares and delivers presentations and collateral for program and/or department and events.
  • Coordinates and administers the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data, prepares comprehensive program reports, and evaluation summaries.
  • May coordinate, administer, and monitor social media presence and program outreach.
  • May supervise and/or lead assigned staff and/or student assistants.Department Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Provides leadership, direction, and expertise for resource sharing to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of all resource sharing services (ILL, GIL Express, ARCHE, repository, intra-campus, document delivery, and purchase on demand) for all faculty, staff, and students as well as our library partners.
    • Serves as an expert in resource sharing, solving complex problems such as copyright compliance, damaged borrowing, and lending items, incorrect or incomplete requests, difficult citations, and complex patron problems.
    • Maintains a knowledge of copyright compliance laws and regulations for interlibrary loans.
    • Maintains and adopts reciprocal agreements between libraries.
    • Knowledge of all duties assigned to the Program Assistant for Resource Sharing.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
    • One (1) year of related work experience.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Previous experience with program development and coordination.
    • Previous experience in higher education.
    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Able to devise, develop, collect, and analyze statistical information and reports.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines.
    • Ability to make administrative and/or procedural decisions and judgments.
