Position Overview:
As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant will report directly to the Director of Accounting. This role is essential in the preparation and maintenance of financial documentation, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and post assigned journal entries.
2. Oversee fixed asset accounting and Construction in Progress (CIP) reporting.
3. Manage lease accounting systems.

Foundation Accounting Duties:
1. Process deposits for Foundation checks.
2. Reconcile donations with the Foundation team's tracking system.
3. Prepare and post intercompany journal entries between various corporate entities.
4. Compile and present financial statements for the Foundation.
5. Assist departmental supervisors with expense variances and act as a liaison to resolve accounting discrepancies.
6. Record rental income and related expenses based on reports from third-party property management.
7. Analyze and report on assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring monthly reconciliations are completed.
8. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely monthly closings.
9. Prepare and file state sales and use tax returns.
10. Prepare and file 1099 forms for all entities.
11. Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements and provide necessary audit support.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 6 years of accounting experience is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:
No specific licensure or certification is required.

Skills:
Exceptional customer service skills are essential. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English is required. Strong computer skills are necessary, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality. The candidate should possess strong numerical skills and demonstrate high levels of organization and attention to detail.
