Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in fostering connections with families and ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prospecting and Lead Development

  • Commits to a daily prospecting schedule of 1-2 hours.
  • Seeks referrals from families previously assisted.
  • Engages in networking to cultivate community relationships.
  • Delivers informative presentations to families and potential clients.
  • Monitors and records activity levels to maintain productivity.

Building Trust with Families

  • Addresses client inquiries promptly and with respect.
  • Establishes rapport through active listening and sincere communication.
  • Identifies and understands the unique needs of each family, providing tailored solutions.
  • Maintains ongoing communication to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Prepares thoroughly for meetings and executes all tasks with precision.
  • Follows up on all client concerns and requests diligently.
  • Develops trust-based relationships to facilitate referrals.
  • Educates families on the advantages of pre-planning to secure their loved ones' futures.

Collaboration and Team Support

  • Acts as a vital link between immediate services and future planning.
  • Works closely with funeral directors and staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Reviews past interactions with families to better support current needs.
  • Communicates family concerns to the broader team for enhanced service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of college education or equivalent experience preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales is advantageous.

Licensing Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Insurance license as mandated by state regulations, if applicable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Must successfully complete the company's internal presentation certification within the first month of employment.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to drive frequently for client meetings.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required.
  • Empathetic and respectful approach to client interactions.
  • Proficient in computer usage and familiar with relevant software.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
