Pricing Specialist Americas, Robotics

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Pricing Specialist to join our team in Americas, Robotics. As a key member of our global Pricing Excellence organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of effective pricing strategies and policies in various markets and segments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pricing expertise to countries and business lines to develop effective pricing policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the global RO vision for pricing excellence.
  • Help drive 'how to price better' quotient with local organizations and support in improving pricing maturity within the region.
  • Analyze quotes/deals/opportunities, provide constructive and multi-dimensional view of the pricing impact and suggest ways to improve profitability.
  • Be a key part of identifying and designing price improvement projects and drive the implementation and roll-out of key methods and tools with various business lines and countries in the region.
  • Engage and work with local organizations to understand current pain points that prevent them from achieving their pricing goals and seek to resolve them within the global framework.
  • Assess pricing metrics and price-related data from a variety of sources and use it to derive insights into pricing strategies, policies and performance as well as forecasting impacts and estimating customer willingness to pay.
  • Bring an outside-in view to the pricing function and help support local organizations to understand the nuances of pricing.
  • Keep abreast of market conditions in the region, understand their impact on our price position and apply the learnings to effectively support local sales teams.
  • Effectively communicate, persuade, and motivate the organization to change behaviors and make value-based pricing an integral part of our operating model.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or similar field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing management or related field with a proven track record of creating tangible impact.
  • In-depth expertise with state-of-the-art pricing methods and tools.
  • Experience in B2B price management in the Robotics/Automation or similar industry strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill to persuade and engage people across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Significant understanding of list prices, costs, margins, discounting models, price agreements, etc.
  • Experience of successfully operating in a large complex, global multinational.
  • Ability to quickly understand and learn the as-is processes within the pricing function.
