Job Summary

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Robotics Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Associate Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on robots at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain robots and controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide telephone-based troubleshooting through the Hotline to support customers in resolving related peripheral equipment operational problems.
  • Document products and related peripheral equipment performance and failure modes.
  • Complete a Service Report for each customer call.
  • Maintain a service tool kit to facilitate rapid customer response.
  • Return of parts shipped for the service call but not purchased by the customer or defective parts replaced under warranty.
Requirements
  • Experience with FANUC robot troubleshooting as a technician or in school.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively within OSHA Laws.
  • Able to work at customer sites with little direct supervision.
  • Comfortable with heavy travel, overtime work, and 2nd and 3rd shift when needed on assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic.
  • Associate's Degree in an Applied Science or equivalent technical education.
