Job Summary:

The Patient Liaison Specialist serves as a vital link between patients, families, and hospital staff for a designated unit. This role ensures that patient and family needs are met, and collects information regarding the services provided to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Collect and document information regarding patient and family needs, services provided, and any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective communication strategies that meet the unique needs of patients and families.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills to ensure a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in patient communication and care coordination.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous hospital experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Conflict resolution and diversity training.

Work Environment:

This role is part of the Surgery Main department and requires a Day shift schedule with 24 scheduled weekly hours.
