Stratas Foods LLC is a leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients, and Retail Private Label markets in North America. This is a remote position, and the ideal candidate will live in the Seattle or Portland area. Our Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. Corporate offices are located in Memphis, TN.
Job Description
This entry-level sales position focuses on providing dedicated direct sales development support to food service operators. The primary role involves working in harmony with our broker organization, reporting to our Division Manager. Key responsibilities include operator fry testing and product cuttings, as well as being a brand specialist aiding our broker street sales teams and distributor sales reps. Additionally, this person would assist in regional and national account field support efforts on large fry test projects as needed.
- Through the Division Manager's direction, identify operator targets to call on to sell our NB products DSM with a focus on local and regional chain operators.
- Hands-on responsibility for setting up and monitoring key Operator Fry tests and product samplings.
- Must work alongside brokers to achieve assigned goals and objectives through direct selling support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors' street sales reps, aiming to become their Stratas National Brands leader in Oils DSM products.
- Lead key Operator sales growth through timely lead follow-up and fry test management, providing product solutions, market intelligence, and technical expertise that adds value for customers.
- Must perform multiple tasks surrounding the Business; Total Fry Test process management, Salad Dressing, Sauces, Mayo Cuttings, BFO uses, and demonstrations, Knowledge in all Bakery Shortenings.
- Responsible to learn more effective selling techniques to maximize effectiveness, including product knowledge and skill enhancements.
- Support and direct One Foodservice strategy, funneling commodity opportunities to Distributor brands managers and inside sales to achieve overall corporate goals and objectives.
- Must become proficient in Salesforce.com for efficient opportunity management and Customer relationship management. Other administrative duties include expense reports, contract management, and timely email response.
- Position must follow directives completely as outlined and report to the Division Manager.
- Travel ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned territory.
Competencies
We are looking for someone with:
- Effective Presentation Skills to ensure maximum performance.
- Strong foodservice background, food production, sales experience a plus.
- Ability to understand Business dynamics of selling propositions and defend effectively.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Culinary, Food Marketing, or General Business-related field.
- Three years of foodservice experience, preferably in Distributor Sales, Broker Sales, or Manufacturer sales.
