Core Responsibilities:

  • Confirm insurance coverage and eligibility for patients in need of post-operative wound care.
  • Gather and record patient information, including insurance specifics and medical history.
  • Engage with insurance providers to verify coverage and secure authorization for medical interventions.
  • Work alongside healthcare professionals to compile necessary documentation for insurance claims.
  • Accurately and promptly submit insurance claims.
  • Monitor insurance claims and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to both patients and healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical insurance verification or billing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to excel in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
