Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coach to lead our Frisco West location. As a Coach, you will be responsible for delivering our science-based curriculum to children, developing their physical, brain, and character skills, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Delivery: Coach students by delivering our evolving curriculum that focuses on Brain, Physical, and Character development up to 24 hours a week.
  • Coach Certification: Achieve Coach Certification through our HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Communication: Understand the why behind our curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it to parents and staff.
  • Classroom Management: Coach classes for students with age groups ranging from roughly 15 months-old to 11 years-old.
  • Parent and Family Interactions: Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class.
  • Program Implementation: Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.
  • Data Management: Use our KS Coaches App to record data and provide data (attendance, awards, etc.).
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate professionally with co-workers in our internal communication platform.
  • Scheduling: Coaches must have availability of a minimum of 6 hours per week.
  • Time Management: Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum.
  • Physical Demands: Work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lift and repeatedly move equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
  • Student Safety: Ensure student safety by being comfortable physically working with kids to ensure proper technique.
  • Parent Support: Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class.
  • Center Staff Development: Lead monthly center staff programming meetings where staff receive training for the following months programming.
  • Professional Development: Complete trainings through our Learning Management System as required by the Head Coach and/or HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the Head Coach.
  • Camps and Events: Learn and manage KidStrong Camps held by centers when local schools are not operating.
Requirements
  • Passion for Working with Children: Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
  • Athletic or Coaching Background: Athletic or coaching background; ideally with experience coaching kids ages walking to 11.
  • Communication Skills: Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding variety of topics.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required.
  • Public Speaking: Positive, motivating public speaking and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Commitment to Schedule: Commitment to schedule.
  • Knowledge of Physiology: Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics.
  • CPR Certification: CPR certified.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter who just gets the job done.
  • Leadership Skills: Enjoy the spotlight, excel in coaching, and mentoring.
