Role Summary

The KidStrong Assistant Center Director serves as the key support to the Center General Manager, playing a pivotal role in nurturing a culture of growth and development for both Coaches and Families. This position is essential in achieving significant business outcomes, including sales performance and member retention. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, approachable, and inspiring leader dedicated to providing an outstanding experience for children, families, and team members.

Key ResponsibilitiesCenter Operations
  • Comprehend the center's primary KPIs and financial metrics to make informed business decisions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee center-level initiatives such as maintenance, training, and brand consistency.
  • Ensure regular cleaning and upkeep of the center.
  • Work a typical schedule of four weekdays and one weekend shift, with hours tailored to the center's needs.
  • Communicate any changes in Coach schedules through appropriate platforms.
  • Organize and promote KidStrong events like Camps and Parties to enhance center profitability.
Sales Management
  • Execute flawless lead management by conducting outreach to new and existing leads within the center's CRM system.
  • Finalize sales and bookings generated through online self-sign-up processes.
  • Identify and participate in local events to boost brand visibility and attract new leads and memberships.
Leadership Development
  • Encourage a coaching culture by promoting open communication.
  • Continuously evaluate and document Coaches based on the KidStrong Coach DNA profile and class quality.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on onboarding, managing, training, and assessing coaching candidates.
  • Support the ongoing professional development of staff through learning platforms.
  • Maintain professional communication with colleagues via messaging and email, including regular checks of messages when off-site.
Coaching Responsibilities
  • Guide students by delivering a dynamic curriculum focused on Brain, Physical, and Character development for ages 15 months to 11 years, as required by business needs.
  • Understand the rationale behind the KidStrong curriculum and communicate it effectively.
  • Demonstrate and oversee the implementation of various programming and curriculum components.
  • Utilize the KS Coaches App to track data and provide essential information (attendance, awards, etc.).
  • Be prepared to work in a physically demanding environment, which may include moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortably engage with children to ensure proper technique and safety.
Qualifications
  • Athletic or coaching background with experience working with children aged 15 months to 11 years is essential.
  • Comfortable engaging with parents/guardians on various topics.
  • Achieve Coach Certification through the HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Complete required training through learning platforms.
  • Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Management experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with Google and Microsoft platforms is necessary.
  • Experience with systems such as ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and ADP is a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics is beneficial.
  • CPR certification is required.
Interaction Sphere

This role does not involve direct reports. When the General Manager is unavailable, the Assistant Center Director will assume the Manager on Duty responsibilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as this position will interact closely with center team members and families, as well as leadership and HQ team members.
