We ensure consistent schedules, wage increases for retention and career advancement, and a $7.00 shift differential for hours worked between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM.

Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated, skilled, and engaging Overnight Emergency/ICU Technician with strong technical abilities to join our diverse team. This role involves supporting various specialty departments within our facility, including internal medicine, surgery, oncology, cardiology, radiology, and dentistry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care and treatment for unstable or critically ill patients;
- Triage emergency cases and monitor hospitalized animals;
- Conduct patient tests, administer treatments, and deliver nursing care.

The Overnight Emergency/ICU Technician should be adept at:
- IV catheter placement;
- Blood collection and laboratory procedures;
- Anesthesia monitoring and medication administration.

As part of a collaborative team, you will also be responsible for admitting and discharging patients, ensuring an exceptional client experience through clear and compassionate communication.

Additional Opportunities:
- Promote and market the practice's programs and services through Continuing Education events and other initiatives.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Registered Veterinary Technician or active Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) on track for registration;
- Minimum of two years of recent technician experience in veterinary practice with increasing responsibilities;
- Proficiency in handling, lifting, and restraining animals.

Preferred:
- Two or more years of recent experience in Emergency and/or Critical Care;
- Familiarity with Fear Free techniques;
- Experience with veterinary software such as Cornerstone and Instinct.

Work Environment:
The physical demands of this role include:
- Standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling;
- Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally over 100 pounds.

Employees may be exposed to:
- Risk of radiation;
- Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Strong organizational skills and time management;
- Capacity to maintain composure in a busy and stressful environment;
- Knowledge of veterinary medical, surgical, laboratory, and imaging equipment and instruments.
