Position Overview:
We are looking for a mature, competent, and engaging Overnight Emergency/ICU Technician with strong technical abilities to enhance our diverse team. This role encompasses not only emergency and critical care but also support across various specialty departments, including internal medicine, surgery, oncology, cardiology, radiology, and dentistry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care and treatment for unstable or critically ill patients;
- Triage emergency cases and monitor hospitalized animals;
- Conduct patient tests, administer treatments, and deliver nursing care.

The Overnight Emergency/ICU Technician must demonstrate proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood draws, laboratory procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and medication administration. As part of a collaborative team, you will also be responsible for admitting and discharging patients while ensuring an exceptional client experience through clear and compassionate communication.

Essential Skills:
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement;
- In-house laboratory analysis and sample handling;
- Anesthesia monitoring, including ECG and vital signs;
- Fluid therapy administration and calculations;
- Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and their administration;
- Radiology safety and patient positioning;
- Sterilization techniques for instruments and materials.

While advanced skills are preferred, training will be provided for the right candidate.

Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position include:
- Standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks;
- Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Registered Veterinary Technician or active Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) on track for registration;
- Minimum of two years of recent veterinary technician experience with increasing responsibilities;
- Proficiency in handling, lifting, and restraining animals.

Preferred:
- Two or more years of experience in Emergency and/or Critical Care;
- Familiarity with Fear Free techniques and veterinary software.

Work Schedule:
- Full-time, including holidays, night shifts, and overtime.

Compensation:
- $35.40 per hour, with additional benefits including 401(k) matching, dental insurance, and paid time off.
