Automotive Testing Engineer

Position Overview:
As a key member of our team at Zobility, you will collaborate closely with hardware, software, and attribute engineering teams to facilitate the vehicle development process. Your role will involve identifying, prioritizing, and monitoring issues throughout the vehicle development and launch phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly familiarize yourself with technical documentation to understand program status and effectively match reported issues with known challenges.
- Engage with various driver and operations teams across multiple locations to analyze daily test driver and engineering reports in JIRA.
- Assess reported issues for their status and severity, creating and escalating follow-up documentation as necessary.
- Ensure that issue reports contain adequate information for diagnosis and prioritization, including factors such as severity, customer impact, reproducibility, and ownership.
- Utilize engineering judgment to flag issues for review based on severity and escalate directly to program management when warranted.
- Identify trends in issues on a component and release basis, ensuring that tracking KPIs and dashboards are updated according to issue categorization.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in vehicle or system-level development processes.
- Proficient in defect management and experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams within a product or feature development setting.
- Familiarity with management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and exhibit self-motivation.
- Experience in systems engineering related to electric vehicle hardware/software development and integration is advantageous.
