The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the on-site accounting team that supports dealership clients and departmental leaders. This position is accountable for the dealership's financial health and directs the overall financial strategy, budgeting, and accounting functions. As with all roles within our dealerships, managers are expected to maintain the highest ethical standards.
  • Engage daily with dealership leaders to address issues between the shared processing center and dealership management.
  • Conduct routine reviews of operational reports as per Asbury standards.
  • Assist dealership staff with general human resource inquiries.
  • Supervise the compliance administrator and aid in deal flow and resolving issues related to deals and CIT.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor the compliance administrator.
  • Collaborate with the title service provider to address documentation challenges.
  • Participate in manager meetings concerning dealership operations, deal flow, and CIT.
  • Ensure dealership managers adhere to Asbury policies and report any deviations to the Market Controller.
  • Possess a minimum of two years of experience in accounting or office management, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving, analytical, and investigative skills.
  • Be computer literate; proficiency in ADP and other financial applications is a plus.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, and vendors.
  • Be process-oriented, analytical, and detail-focused.
  • Possess strong people management and leadership abilities.
  • Be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug tests).
