Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a GM Certified Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for executing repairs and maintenance tasks in line with factory and dealership standards, ensuring a superior experience for our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles and offer repair suggestions to service advisors.
- Diagnose and rectify issues in automotive systems, including engines, steering, brakes, suspension, transmission, and air conditioning with minimal oversight.
- Manage substantial engine repairs during the initial service appointment.
- Maintain direct communication with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional services required and provide time estimates for these repairs.
- Safeguard vehicles until they are returned to the Service Advisor or customer.
- Interpret and understand written instructions and information effectively.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- Friendly demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Collaborative team player with effective communication skills.
- Possession of a basic set of tools required for the job.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a GM technician.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
