About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Sacramento, CA. As a key member of our hydropower team, you will be responsible for providing technical design and engineering consultation for new and upgrade hydropower projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and technical design for hydropower projects, including hydro turbine upgrades, pumped energy storage, and dam and pipeline projects.
  • Collaborate with energy owners to develop and implement effective solutions for their hydropower needs.
  • Work closely with our team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 6 years in hydropower or related field.
  • Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting.
  • Experience in design and operation support of conventional and hydroelectric generation stations.
  • Prior work with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) software.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role.
