About the Role

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a highly skilled BIM Lead to join our team. As a BIM Lead, you will be responsible for developing designs in BIM documents utilizing Autodesk Revit, or AutoCAD software. You will work under the direction of senior process mechanical designers and BIM Leads, and will be responsible for coordinating production efforts on projects, delivering CAD, Revit training, and preparing BIM Execution Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute work on wastewater and water utilities and industrial facilities, including treatment plant, pumping station, and bio-system facility planning and design
  • Setup and maintain AutoCAD, Revit and Bentley projects
  • Coordinate production efforts on projects
  • Deliver CAD, Revit training, including the development of training resources and leading in-house training sessions; provide one on one training with new employees standard process and guidelines
  • Prepare BIM Execution Plan
  • Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
  • Maintain graphic quality of projects across all disciplines
  • Perform interference and clash detection for Revit projects
  • Participate in the execution of the Quality Management Plan (QMP) for all projects
  • Interact frequently and effectively with Designers, Content Development team, BIM Production team and other project team members
  • Perform AutoCAD, Revit system design and documentation
  • Coordinate Revit Kickoff meetings with Clients
  • Assist in development of standards and tutorials
  • Provide 1:1 and small group Revit and AutoCAD support to troubleshoot errors
  • Coordinate design drawing numbering, layouts, and submittal packaging.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in municipal and/or industrial projects preferred.
  • Experience with BIM design and using AutoCAD a must.
  • Experience with BIM design and using REVIT a must.
  • Experience with BIM design and using MicroStation a plus.
  • Experience in 3D modeling, drawing production and associated workflows.
  • Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally
  • High level of communication and strong writing skills
