Hospice Administrator Job Description

As a Hospice Administrator with Interim HealthCare, you will play a vital role in leading our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care and service to our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the full range of patient services and ensure the smooth operation of our hospice programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison with the owner/governing body, providing regular reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement budgeting processes and accounting systems to achieve financial goals.
  • Manage information systems that support the operation of hospice, ensuring seamless communication and data management.
  • Ensure patient/family access to management staff during all hours of operation, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with laws and regulations affecting hospice responsibilities, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Respond to internal and external reviews, addressing findings and implementing improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or business administration preferred.
  • Experience in business administration, healthcare management, or hospice care strongly preferred.
  • Three years of experience in healthcare management within the last five years, with a focus on financial management and business unit profitability.
