Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in providing speech and language services, ensuring high-quality care and support to clients.
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and interventions under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist, using augmentative and alternative communication devices as needed.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation of client progress, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, educators, and families, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field, or associate's degree with relevant experience.
  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of practice.
  • Successful completion of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork experience or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Computer proficiency, with experience in electronic medical records and other relevant software applications.
