About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Amergis. As a key member of our staff, you will provide critical support to our Speech Language Pathologists in delivering exceptional speech and language services.

Job Description

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for communication and a desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with clinical activities, educational programs, and documentation, all under the supervision of a certified Speech Language Pathologist.

You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services, communicate effectively with patients and families, and maintain accurate records. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with speech and language screenings, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist to develop and implement treatment plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in speech-language pathology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork experience
  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
