Job Title: Controls Field Technician

CLX Engineering is seeking a skilled Controls Field Technician to join our team. As an experienced industrial electrical automation technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and editing control systems, working closely with Integration Engineers at client sites.


Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and edit PLC code to ensure efficient system operation
  • Create control panels from electrical prints and execute ideas to improve control system efficiency
  • Observe systems, locate and resolve issues with control components, and proficiently use electrical testing devices
  • Collaborate with lead Integration Engineers and communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure successful project completion

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or AS degree with equivalent applied experience
  • 5 years' experience working with electricity and proficiency in reading and wiring from electrical schematics
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations
  • PLC software experience (Studio or Logix 5000) or equivalent
  • Physical abilities: remain stationary for up to 50% of a shift and navigate obstacles within a manufacturing environment
  • Drive and have a clean driving record
  • Work non-standard hours (nights and weekends) and occasional travel
  • Pass a TSA background check and initial background and drug screenings

Desired Qualifications:
  • AutoCAD
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent

You should be proficient in PLC troubleshooting skills, electrical troubleshooting skills, and troubleshooting industrial automation equipment. Experience in a manufacturing environment is also desired.


Machines and technologies you'll use include Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Allen Bradley).


Salary info: $31 - $36.50 / hr
